This shows you how to create an address like info@yourdomain.co.za on your hosting.
Steps
- Log in to your HeyLuno account.
- Click Services, then your hosting package.
- Use the Quick Create Email Account form right on the product page: type the address, set a password, click create. Done.
If you want more control (mailbox size, quotas), do it in cPanel instead:
- Click Login to cPanel on the same page.
- Open Email Accounts.
- Click Create.
- Type the part before the @, choose the domain, and set a strong password.
- Set the storage space. Unlimited means it can use whatever your package has free; a fixed size stops one mailbox from eating the whole account.
- Click Create.
The address works immediately.
Good to know
- Read the new mailbox in webmail straight away (see the webmail article) or set it up on your phone or computer (see the setup articles).
- Every mailbox counts against your hosting disk space. Old mail adds up, so give shared or high-volume addresses a size limit.
- Think before creating one address per purpose. A forwarder (see that article) is often better for addresses that just need to reach you.
If it did not work
If creation fails, the address may already exist or your package's mailbox limit may be reached. Open a ticket with the address you tried to create.
